The inspection methods of oil casing are as follows:
1. Ultrasonic inspection
When the ultrasonic wave propagates in the tested material, the change of acoustic characteristics and internal structure of the material will have a certain impact on the ultrasonic wave propagation. Detect the degree and condition of ultrasonic to understand the characteristics and structural changes of materials.
2. Radiographic examination
Radiographic examination is based on the difference in the amount of radiation transmitted through normal parts and defects, resulting in a difference in the blackness of the negative film.
3. Penetration test
Penetration test uses the capillary action of liquid to penetrate the penetrating liquid into the open defects on the surface of solid materials, and then draws the penetrating liquid to the surface through the developer to show the existence of defects.
4. Magnetic particle testing
Magnetic particle testing uses magnetic flux leakage at the defect to absorb magnetic particles and form magnetic marks to provide defect indication. It can detect surface and sub surface defects. The nature of the defect is easy to identify. Paint and electroplated surfaces do not affect the detection sensitivity.
5. Eddy current testing
Eddy current testing mainly uses the eddy current produced by ferromagnetic coil in the workpiece to analyze the internal quality of the workpiece, and to detect the surface and near surface defects of various conductive materials.
6. Magnetic flux leakage detection
Magnetic flux leakage detection of oil casing is based on the high permeability of ferromagnetic materials. The quality of in-service oil casing is measured by measuring the permeability change caused by defects in ferromagnetic materials.
7. Magnetic memory test
Magnetic memory testing is based on the relationship between the physical properties of magnetic phenomena and dislocation process. It has the advantages of high efficiency, low cost, no grinding and so on. It has an important and wide application prospect in industry.
