The difference between ERW steel pipe (LSAW steel pipe) and LSAW steel pipe (UOE): according to the welding process, there are two kinds of LSAW steel pipe: high frequency resistance welding and submerged arc welding. UOE is the abbreviation of LSAW, and ERW is the abbreviation of high frequency LSAW. Compared with submerged arc welding, ERW process does not add any welding materials in the welding process, and the weld does not experience the hot-melt state, only the weld instrument passes the recrystallization process, so the chemical composition of the weld is completely consistent with the annealing treatment to form welded steel pipe, and the cold stress and welding stress are improved, so ERW steel pipe has better comprehensive mechanical properties.
Due to the use of cold expansion process, the geometric dimension of UOE pipe is accurate. The quality of mating parts with UOE butt joint is high, which can ensure the welding quality, and to some extent, eliminate some internal stress in the process of expanding pipe. In addition, UOE pipe welding mainly uses multi strand welding wire (3 or 4). With this technology, the linear energy is small, and the influence on the heat affected zone of the substrate is also small. For multi strand welding, the latter welding wire can eliminate the stress formed in the welding process, thus improving the mechanical properties of steel pipe. The base metal can carry out 100% ultrasonic flaw detection on the steel plate to meet the requirements of high-pressure pipeline on the base metal at one time.
Although the comprehensive performance of UOE pipe is better than that of other steel pipes, the high price makes the customers who are short of funds hold back.
