Types of welded steel pipe

The next is SSAW steel pipe, which is a spiral seam steel pipe with strip coil as raw material. It is extruded under normal temperature and welded by automatic double wire double submerged arc welding process. The advantage is that it can produce steel of various diameters and specifications with good strength. The disadvantage is that the weld is too long, easy to bring cracks, pores, slag, welding local welding defects. It is widely used in the transportation of general low pressure fluid and pressurized fluid.


The last is LSAW steel pipe, which is made of steel plate and widely used to transport low-pressure fluid. It has the advantages of large diameter, large wall thickness, high pressure and low temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. In the construction of long-distance oil and gas pipelines with high strength, high toughness and high quality, most steel pipes need large diameter and thick wall LSAW.
